| Early in the design phase, I had to decide what the most efficient way to get air into the motor was. Conventionally, turbo's blow perpendicular to the cylinders into a plenum. But my opinion is, with the air velocity running 90 degrees to the direction it needs to be going, overall flow would be reduced (especially to the number 1 cylinder). I chose to blow directly at the cylinders, however I needed to divert half the air to the outside cylinders. After a couple hours of testing different configurations, I came up with this vein system. |
