Talk about a press fit. I had to machine the rim around the fan down so I could squeeze it in between the water pump pulley and the radiator. I have about .125 clearance front and back. The bracket holding the fan is very custom. The bottom part gets bolted to the crossmember. and the uprights stay connected to the fan. There is one bolt holding the uprights to the bottom block. I can loosen this bolt and slide the fan out of the car. It makes for very quick fan removal to gain access to the front of the motor.
